Riding Alaró by its own streets
The shortest ride in the world, and the one that repairs its biggest absurdity: Alaró’s two road gates stood two hundred and seventy-seven metres apart with no way between them, so the graph sent a local rider thirteen kilometres through Lloseta and Consell to cross the town. The town crosses itself in two one-way halves and the loop rides both in their legal sense: out from the Ma-2021 gate by Can Manyoles, Camp Roig, Pintat and Son Amengual to the avenue corner, then home down the Avinguda de la Constitució over Alexandre Rosselló — eighty-nine metres of paving stones, the loop’s one surface change — and Can Ros. The homeward half was hiding in plain sight all along: it is the Ma-2021’s own baked entry into town, and the build freed it with one cut instead of laying it twice. Eight streets, two barrels, zero metres ridden against the flow.
This is a true 0.9 km circuit: the road closes naturally rather than using an artificial turnaround.
The route is read through settlement edges: narrow streets, rooflines, roundabouts, church towers, old road alignments, and the moment the built fabric releases the rider back into open country.
Captured in muntro Relief, gradient, and how to pace it
The profile is restrained by Mallorca standards: 6 m separates its lowest and highest points. The interest comes from rhythm, surface changes, exposed straights, and the way the road moves through the landscape rather than one headline climb.
Use the opening kilometres to find cadence and keep the power smooth. The route is ideal for endurance work, recovery riding, or simply exploring the island without a large climbing bill.
Points to watch for
The best Mallorca routes are remembered as a sequence of places, not as a GPX line. These are the changes of scene that organise this ride.

Alaró — the town’s one-way ring between its two gates
Alaró — the town’s one-way ring between its two gates is one of the route’s defining changes of scene and a useful marker for pacing the ride.

221 m high point
At 221 m high point, the elevation trace reaches its ceiling before the road releases the height it has earned.
Why this road works indoors
muntro does not flatten Alaró by its own streets into a workout backdrop. The route’s bends, height, and junction order come from the road itself, while a compatible trainer reproduces the changing gradient under your pedals.
Because the course closes naturally, it works especially well for repeated laps, steady endurance rides, and comparing the same decisions under fatigue.
