Riding Vilafranca and the es Vall camins
Vilafranca de Bonany is where the Ma-15 crosses the Pla, and this ride leaves it by the lanes on its east side: the camí des Calderers, the Ma-15A through the village and two unclassified camins ducking under the trunk road to the Ma-5110. The es Vall road runs south to Son Valls and on into Felanitx, and the finish is the climb the whole south-east knows: the Ma-4011's twenty-one hairpins to the Santuari de Sant Salvador.
This point-to-point line covers 34.5 km, from Vilafranca toward els Calderers toward the es Vall road toward Felanitx toward Sant Salvador.
The route is read through settlement edges: narrow streets, rooflines, roundabouts, church towers, old road alignments, and the moment the built fabric releases the rider back into open country.
Captured in muntro Relief, gradient, and how to pace it
This is serious vertical terrain. The road spans 423 m from bottom to top and accumulates 519 m of ascent, with sampled ramps reaching 10%. The profile makes the pacing decision visible before the first pedal stroke.
Ride the early gradients a shade below the effort you think you can hold. The broken rhythm rewards cadence changes and short, controlled pressure rather than repeated spikes above threshold.
Points to watch for
The best Mallorca routes are remembered as a sequence of places, not as a GPX line. These are the changes of scene that organise this ride.

Why this road works indoors
muntro does not flatten Vilafranca and the es Vall camins into a workout backdrop. The route’s bends, height, and junction order come from the road itself, while a compatible trainer reproduces the changing gradient under your pedals.
The point-to-point format gives the session a destination. There is no need to invent a finish when the real road already has one.
