Riding The Far de Capdepera
The island’s sunrise lighthouse, and the road that exists to end there. Out of Capdepera the Ma-15 falls east to the roundabout where the Canyamel road parts company, then runs down into Cala Rajada on the Via Joan Carles I and threads the one-way carrer Elionor Servera — the exact street the official Fars de Llevant itinerary uses — to the busiest little junction on this coast. From there the carretera del Far climbs a hundred metres of headland in a kilometre and a half, five real bends and four honest hairpins between the pines, past the fractured watchtower of the Torre Esbucada, and stops at the white lighthouse on its limestone cliff. On a clear morning Menorca stands off the end of the road. Nothing continues; that is the point.
This point-to-point line covers 6.1 km, from Capdepera toward Cala Rajada toward Far de Capdepera.
This is coastal Mallorca rather than a generic blue horizon: the road’s relationship with coves, cliffs, ports, stone retaining walls, and open water is what defines it.
Captured in muntro Relief, gradient, and how to pace it
The profile is restrained by Mallorca standards: 70 m separates its lowest and highest points. The interest comes from rhythm, surface changes, exposed straights, and the way the road moves through the landscape rather than one headline climb.
Use the opening kilometres to find cadence and keep the power smooth. The route is ideal for endurance work, recovery riding, or simply exploring the island without a large climbing bill.
Points to watch for
The best Mallorca routes are remembered as a sequence of places, not as a GPX line. These are the changes of scene that organise this ride.

At 75 m high point, the elevation trace reaches its ceiling before the road releases the height it has earned.
Why this road works indoors
muntro does not flatten the Far de Capdepera into a workout backdrop. The route’s bends, height, and junction order come from the road itself, while a compatible trainer reproduces the changing gradient under your pedals.
The point-to-point format gives the session a destination. There is no need to invent a finish when the real road already has one.
